Owslebury Pavilion, Winchester, Hampshire
Designs for a new community sports pavilion and playing fields for the village of Owslebury on the outskirts of Winchester, Hampshire.
The pavilion, located in the corner of the playing fields and angled to suit the existing hedgerow, was designed to support existing cricket and football pitches and a new multi-sports area providing enhanced changing facilities, a club room, café, toilets and a viewing terrace. Part of the brief was to utilise timber construction, therefore the pavilion is clad in charred timber with lighter contrasting timber interior.
The proposals were used to generate interest and obtain funding for the community development.
