The Aquatic Centre

The new Aquatics Centre is a national centre for the study and breeding of marine life. It replaced an outdated facility and is part of a small complex of buildings including a new rifle range and associated stores. The Aquatics Centre provides teaching facilities and contains permanent tanks and aquaria within a controlled environment utilising specialist engineering services. The main entrance to the Centre is via a bridge over a deep pool of water containing larger fish, through a dimmed entrance hall with brightly lit tropical fish aquaria then into the light, clean interior of the main aquatics spaces where the walls are lined with white hygienic finishes and the roof is supported with laminated timber beams.

Other projects at Sparsholt College include the new Veterinary Nursing Centre and extensions and alterations to the Animal Management Centre.
