Goldenhayes House and Swimming Pool

The delicate re-modelling and refurbishment of a large Georgian country house on a sensitive site located on the edge of the New Forest National Park was a challenge for the practice.

Central to the client’s brief was for the refurbishment of the main house including internal remodelling of the principle rooms to return the building to it’s former splendour

Contemporary additions include an indoor Swimming Pool with Jacuzzi, Sauna and changing rooms. The complex is surrounded by Portland stone columns, limestone flooring and glass wall panels which open up on three sides to the outside.

Using traditional detailing and proportioning the design restored the status of a substantial rural country home.
